Standards – Construction Standards For Hong Kong
The
second project funded by the CII-HK has invited research proposals
from both local and overseas interested parties since 26 May
2003. Entitled "The Feasibility of Establishing Construction
Standards for Hong Kong", it aims to conduct a feasibility
study on the possible pros and cons of establishing standards
for the Hong Kong construction industry, leading possibly
to the eventual formulation of strategies for implementation.
A total
of 4 bids were received from both academia and industry by
the closing date of submission, 30 June 2003, and we are in
the process of bid evaluation. The outcome of the bidding
exercise will be announced by the Executive Board after the
review process.
