Healthy
Buildings ¡V Solutions Implementation For Healthy Buildings
in Hong Kong
In response
to the unprecedented crisis caused by the outbreak of the
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), a research initiative
on "Solutions implementation for healthy buildings in
Hong Kong" was generated by Mrs. Margaret Chan of the
Hong Kong Housing Society, to comprehensively study the related
issues that affect design, management and maintenance strategy,
government control and usage of healthy buildings and living
environments.
The project
started in September 2003 and lasts for one year. The research
was launched by the CII-HK in collaboration with the Faculty
of Construction and Land Use of the PolyU and it was jointly
funded by the two organizations.
